Look 'n Book is a very adaptable form of promotion that is ideally suited to internet advertising. Not only do the ads incorporate the main image and descriptive text, they also incorporate the extremely important "keyword anchor text" link to your website. Look 'n Book ads are placed on a per annum basis and prices vary depending on the exposure of the page carrying the ad. The text component is used to provide a brief snapshot of the business profile and a photo gallery can be added to provide the visual images. Look 'n Book adverts are perfect for promoting individual accommodation properties and accommodation choices for a particular location (as per the example). They are also a great way to promote an activity (eg. tours, cruises, fishing, diving) where the image shows the activity and the accompanying text describes what the business has to offer. These ads can also boost branding (recognition of the company name). The upper part can be used for the corporate logo and the bottom part provides the keyword link plus descriptive text capturing the key essentials of the business.
Articles are considered by many experienced webmasters to be the most effective way to promote your website. Articles generate both traffic to your site as well as an SEO boost. They require some effort on your part as you need to write a unique 500 word minimum article about your business and send it to us along with a couple of photos or graphic images. You can add at least two links back to your site. We create a new page on our site with your content and images and place links to that page so that it gets found and indexed by the search engines. We provide an acknowledgement that you are the source and do final SEO on the page. When considering the article page option, you need to be aware that we will require a link on your site to one of our pages. Not just any old link buried on a page of reciprocals, but rather a link on a page that has solid Page Rank and is specifically about an Australian travel and tourism topic. This criteria is non negotiable. If you cannot meet that criteria for the link to our site, then you can consider sponsoring the article page for an agreed sum per annum. We use a "Companion Sites" facility for the express purpose of exchanging links with other quality Australian travel and tourism websites. Companion Site links allow us to offer the viewer access to relevant resources beyond the scope of our own sites. Companion Site link exchanges are FREE ... but you must be able to offer us a reciprocal link from an Australian travel and tourism page with at least Google Page Rank 3. Note that it is the page carrying the link to us that must be Australian specific and have the PR3 or better. Companion Site links are far more effective than having your links buried in over-populated link pages and link directories. These links are embedded in the page content which makes them excellent for SEO purposes and generating increased traffic. They are highly relevant (aka on-topic links), there is a maximum of eight such links on our page (which nearly all have Google PR3 or better), you can specify key word anchor text and you can specify deep links. A typical example of Companion Site links can be seen at the bottom of this page.
Did you know that the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo! assess the worth of your website according to the websites you link to? When you add links on your website to an information rich, researched authority site such as this one, you are significantly improving the credibility of your website and that results in improved search rankings. That fact alone is enough reason for you to link to Oztourism and not even bother about a reciprocal link! We only consider link exchange requests when the link to our site is placed on a page that is specifically related to Australian travel and tourism. We will not consider sites that are purely for affiliate sales and have no useful content. Please do not ask us to provide a one way "freebie" link to your site. If you can offer a relevant link from an Australian page with Google PR3 or better, we will respond with a Companion Site link as described above. If your page with the link to us is less than PR3, the reciprocal link will be placed in the Tourism Directory of our sister site at Australian Travel Emporium.
