NSW Tropical North Holidays

The tropical north area of New South Wales stretches from Wooli in the south, Grafton in the west through the hinterland to the Great Dividing Range and north to Tweed Heads at the border of Queensland.

The Tweed Coast is a region of quiet villages, grassy headlands and a 35 km of pristine beaches that stretch from the mouth of the Tweed River at Fingal to Wooyung in the south. The area is also home to a World Heritage listed National Park in the hinterland with rainforests and lookouts.

Estuary waters and quiet coves provide fun for little people, while excellent surf can be found at some of the best beaches in the world. The first place in Australia to be touched by the morning sun is Mount Warning, located in the Tweed Valley with its lush river flatlands and sugar cane farms.

There is great accommodation on offer at Kingscliff and Byron Bay as well the incredible Gold Coast holiday accommodation choices just over the border in Queensland.  There are water sports for every taste, including whale watching, fishing, boating, cruising and sailing.
