Wimmera Region Holidays

This is a part of Victoria that is a rural area with endless wheat fields to the horizon. It stretches from The Grampians National Park in the east to the South Australia border in the west, from the the Glenelg Highway in the south to the Western Highway in the north.

The Grampians National Park with its rugged mountain range and spectacular rock formations dominates the region. There are plenty of rivers, streams and lakes.  This is an area with some very unique flora, best seen in spring.

This is the place for serious rock climbing and abseiling, bush walks, scenic lookouts, fishing, canoeing and white water. The rock and mountain climbing fraternity will be familiar with nearby Mt Arapiles jutting abruptly from the surrounding landscape.

The region also offers visitors horse riding trails, local fauna and wildflowers, cellar door visits and farm stays, festivals, lava caves, aboriginal art sites and a cultural museum.
